Kurt Wilson

General Manager

Kurt joins us from Michigan with 30 years of broadcasting experience, the last 15 of which were in public media. “I love that the mission of public radio is to serve our local communities and to provide information and programming that makes a difference in our listeners’ lives.”

Kurt has worn many hats during his career—from producer, chief operating officer, director of corporate support and major gifts to news anchor and play-by-play announcer. He even created, produced and hosted the high-school quiz show Quiz Central and the travel show Destination Michigan during his time at Central Michigan University Public Broadcasting. Kurt knows the ins-and-outs of working in public radio, and we are confident he will be a positive force for our station.

Yellowstone Public Radio

Dear YPR Listeners,

We are excited to announce that Yellowstone Public Radio is part of a new journalism collaborative, joining five other public radio stations to launch a regional news consortium.

The Collaboration in the Mountain West, a partnership of six public radio stations across five states, has received a grant of $475,000 from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to launch a long-term, news initiative to better serve the people of the region.
